Huguenot Cemetery - St. Augustine, Fl

The Huguenot Cemetery is thought to be territorial Florida's first Protestant Cemetery. It was established in 1821. It is located in St. Augustine, just north of the old city gates. It is presently undergoing restoration.

Here are a few pictures I took this past weekend while visiting St. Augustine. The cemetery was open to the public, so I was able to walk around inside.

The character of this cemetery is evident with the contrasting styles of gravestones, box tombs, and so forth. The abundant trees provide a peaceful canopy and compliment the landscape.
